“Over the next decade, advances in oncology will take place practicing precision medicine, which will enable the administration of the most appropriate treatment for each patient at the best moment. To obtain this information, we need new clinical tools that will allow us to know the situation of the tumour in real time regarding the genetic and molecular alterations that occur throughout the evolution of the disease, and that will ultimately help us to decide the best therapeutic option. In this respect, liquid biopsies are proving to be the ideal tool to obtain this information.
After the success of the first editions, which pleasantly surpassed our expectations, we bring you this third Symposium, with the same desire to offer and share the most recent knowledge about the different possibilities of liquid biopsy. As done before, we will approach the topic from interesting perspectives such as clinical utility, progress made in biological knowledge and the continuous technological advances, all of it in a scenario of training, discussion and addressing future challenges.
As organiser of the Symposium, I would like to introduce you to the scientific programme, bringing together a group of prominent experts who will lead a range of sessions and talks, during which we will address specific aspects of liquid biopsy and the different oncological pathologies.
The San Francisco Hotel Monument, located in the centre of Santiago, will welcome us with a relaxing and pleasant environment to hold the Symposium.
Therefore, we hope you will enjoy the event and will regard it as a source of professional enrichment on the road to precision oncology.
Welcome to Santiago!
